Crime Prevention Efforts
Speed bumps and security cameras are features used to ensure the safety and security of our neighborhood.
In 2017, our neighborhood raised more than $55,000 to purchase eight SkyCop security cameras, placed at all Greentrees entrances. Three more cameras were added in 2021/2022 at:
- Forest Grove at Kirby Parkway
- Messick at Hickory Crest
- Black Oak at Hickory Crest
- Kirby Parkway at Poplar Pike
The newest cameras were obtained through a special funding program offered by the Shelby County Commissioner’s Office.

Neighboring Kirby Woods also purchased a number of cameras for that neighborhood. Three of these cameras border our neighborhood on Kirby Road.
